Sometimes, the most powerful act is to simply keep going
Your Monday Morning Happiness prompt đ§Ą
Good morning, my lovely friend. đ Letâs start this week with a moment to pause and breathe. I know life can feel heavy sometimes, like youâre trudging through mud, and maybe youâre not even sure where the path is leading. But hereâs something I want you to remember: sometimes the most powerful act is to simply keep going.
Now, I donât mean sprinting ahead at full speed when youâre already exhausted or pushing yourself to breaking point. Keeping going isnât about forcing it or pretending youâre fine when youâre not. Itâs about honouring your journey, trusting that every little step counts, and letting those steps be as big or as small as you need them to be today.
Letâs get real â healing isnât a straight road. Itâs not all sunshine, crystal baths, and Reiki (though those help!). Itâs more like a scribble â a messy, twisty path where progress can feel slow or even invisible at times. But hereâs the thing: even when it feels like youâre stuck, youâre not. Youâre learning, resting, gathering strength. And that, my lovely, is moving forward.
I know how hard it can be to trust that, especially when youâre just not feeling it. On those days, even the smallest actsâdrinking water, getting outside for two minutes of fresh air, texting someone who lifts you up â can feel monumental. And thatâs okay. Those little actions, as tiny as they seem, are still acts of keeping going.
And hereâs something we forget all too often: sometimes, the most vital thing you can do to keep going is to stop. Not forever, of course, but just long enough to let yourself rest, breathe, and reset. Because hereâs the truth: pausing isnât the same as giving up. Pausing is what lets you come back stronger.
So, letâs talk about how you can keep going this week, even if you feel wobbly or unsure:
Focus In on the Present Moment
When everything feels too much, itâs easy to spiral into overwhelm. So, pause. Take a deep breath. Whatâs the one thing you can do right now? Maybe itâs putting on the kettle, or stepping outside to feel the sun on your face, or just sitting with your hand on your heart, reminding yourself that youâre here, and thatâs enough for now.
Celebrate the Teeniest Wins
Honestly, we donât give ourselves enough credit for the little things. Did you get out of bed today? Amazing. Did you smile at someone? Brilliant. Did you manage five minutes of quiet before the chaos began? Thatâs a win too. Every single one of those small acts adds up to something bigger over time.
Be Your Own Best Friend
You wouldnât tell your best mate to âjust get on with itâ if she was struggling, would you? Of course not. Youâd tell her to take it easy, remind her how amazing she is, and make her a cup of tea. So why not do the same for yourself? Talk to yourself with kindness, especially on the hard days. Take breaks. Rest when you need it. Itâs not weaknessâitâs wisdom.
So, my beautiful friend, hereâs the reminder I want you to carry into your week: you are doing enough. Even when you donât feel like it. Even when progress feels invisible. Keep going in the way that feels right for you, whether thatâs taking a leap, a step, or simply pausing to catch your breath.
Youâve got this. Youâre stronger than you think, more resilient than you know, and every single little act of self-care is bringing you closer to where you need to be.
Hereâs to a week of moving forward, however that looks for you. Iâm cheering you on every step of the way. đ
